Using the meeting notetaker

Overview

The meeting notetaker joins your client meetings, writes a summary and action items, and produces a research note that spots the technical issues raised — and the ones that should have been — grounded in authoritative NZ, AU and UK sources. Notes save automatically to the matter.

Adding the notetaker to a meeting

You can have it join automatically, or invite it yourself.

  • Connect your calendar (Microsoft or Google) so it can auto-join eligible meetings.

  • Or invite it manually by pasting the meeting join link.

It works with Zoom, Teams and Google Meet, and is visible and branded in the meeting.

What you get after a meeting

  • Straight away: a summary, action items, and an attendance note with the meeting duration.

  • Once research completes: a note structured by issue, with citations. Explicit questions and inferred issues are shown separately.

  • On request: a file note or memo, and two follow-up email styles (a brief one, or a detailed issue-by-issue one).

Finding past meetings

Open the Meetings tab in the main navigation. Every meeting and its outputs are saved and searchable there, and against the matter.

Asking a follow-up

Open the issue and continue in chat. It's pre-loaded with the matter's context, so you can type your follow-up question straight away.

Client consent

You're responsible for getting client consent to record. Nylon provides a standard, jurisdiction-aware consent disclaimer that defaults to your country and is editable.

For Admins and Owners: credits

The meeting notetaker uses Pro credits: 10 per hour, billed per 6-minute unit. No separate licence is needed. Adviser plans include 200 credits a month (about 20 hours); Elite includes more. Top up with credit bundles in settings.

Frequently asked questions

Q: Is my meeting data used to train the AI?

A: No. Nylon does not train on your data and is ISO 27001 certified, built for confidential, privileged work.

Q: Which meeting platforms work?

A: Zoom, Teams and Google Meet.

Q: Can it join in-person meetings?

A: Not yet. As a workaround, start a one-attendee Teams or Zoom meeting.

Troubleshooting

The notetaker didn't join

Check your calendar is connected and the event has a valid join link, or invite it manually with the link.
