Bulk Upload Users

Overview

The Bulk Upload tool lets Admins and Owners invite multiple users to your Law Cyborg workspace in one go by uploading a CSV file. You can assign each user a role and customise their details — all before they receive their invitation email.

This feature is only available to Admins and Owners. If you do not see it, check your role under Account → My Team.

Before you start

  • You must have an Admin or Owner role in your Law Cyborg workspace.

  • Prepare your user details in advance — you can download a CSV template directly from the Bulk Upload flow.

  • Ensure you have enough available seats in your plan. If you need more, contact your account manager.

Where to find Bulk Upload

  1. Click Account (your profile/account menu).

  2. Select My Team.

  3. Click the + Bulk Upload button.

Step 1 — Download the CSV template

Inside the Bulk Upload modal, click Download template. Open it in Excel and fill in your users' details. All columns are required.

Column

Description

Name

User's full name.

Email

User's email address. Must be unique.

Role

admin or user.

Plan

Essential Plan or Elite Plan. Must be entered exactly as shown.

Licenses

One or more licence names, separated by commas (e.g. Employment, Tax). Names must be an exact match to the name of the Practice Area. Order does not matter.

Save your file as .csv (not .xlsx), and remove any blank rows before uploading.

Step 2 — Upload your CSV

Back in the Bulk Upload modal, click Choose file (or drag and drop your CSV into the upload area) to upload your completed file.

Step 3 — Review the import

Law Cyborg will parse your CSV and display a preview table of all users to be invited. Check each row carefully before proceeding.

You can deselect any rows if you decide not to proceed with a specific user.

Step 4 — Fix any errors

Rows with problems are flagged in red. You can correct errors directly in the review table without re-uploading your CSV. Common errors include:

  • Duplicate email — already exists in your workspace or appears twice in the CSV.

  • Invalid role — value is not admin or user.

  • Invalid plan — value is not exactly Essential Plan or Elite Plan.

  • Invalid licence name — licence name does not exactly match an available licence. Check spelling and capitalisation.

  • Missing required field — any column is blank.

Step 5 — Confirm and send invitations

Once the preview shows no errors, click Confirm to dispatch invitation emails to everyone on the list.

What happens next

  • Each user receives an invitation email with a link to set their password and activate their account.

  • Invited users appear in My Team with a Pending status until they accept.

  • You can resend or revoke an invitation at any time from the My Team list.

Frequently asked questions

  • How many users can I upload at once?
    You can upload up to 100 users per CSV file. For larger imports, split your file into multiple uploads.

  • What if an invited user doesn't receive the email?
    Ask them to check their spam folder. You can also resend the invitation from My Team by clicking the resend button next to their name.
