How to cancel your account
Who this is for: All users, admins
Overview
Stopping your subscription is a straightforward process. There are two ways to do this, depending on whether you might want to reactivate your account in the future:
Permanently Delete
The first option is to close your account entirely and permanently. If you choose this second option, you’ll need to create a new account if you ever decide to try Law Cyborg again.
Go to Account Settings → Profile.
Scroll down and click Close Your Account.
Make account dormant / pause your account
The second option is to make your account dormant (which we recommended if you may reactive it in the future). You can remove your account licences to reduce your billing to $0, effectively pausing your account.
Go to Account Settings in the bottom-left of the app.
Open the Users tab and click Edit to unassign plans and practice areas from each user.
Then, under Products & Billing, click Purchase Licences to remove the licences from your account.
This means you can still access all your chat history, or restart your account when the time is right
Feedback
We really appreciate any feedback you’re happy to share about how you’ve found the platform and why it’s no longer the right fit. We never want anyone paying for something they’re not actively using, but honest feedback like yours is incredibly valuable as we continue improving our research tools.
Cancelling a specific user
If you have multiple users on your account and want to change or cancel a specific person's account e.g., they have left your organisation, you can manage this on your "Products and Billing" page (if you are an admin/owner).
