How to Change Account Ownership

Step 1: Access Account Settings

  • Go to account settings.

  • Select 'My Team' to view current users and admins.

Step 2: Register New Users (if applicable)

  • If the desired new owner is not currently a user, register them for a new account.

  • Ensure they verify their email address before changing ownership.

Step 3: Edit User Permissions

  • Find the user you want to make the new owner.

  • Click 'Edit' next to their name.

  • Change their role to 'Owner'.

Step 4: Understand Ownership Limitations

  • Note that there can only be one owner per account.

  • Optionally, use the 'X' button next to 'Plan' to create a "Owner-only" account, perfect for a company administrator who wants to manage the account, but doesn't need to access the LC Platform and tools.

Step 5: Update Ownership

  • Click 'Update' to transfer ownership.

  • You will become an admin, and the new owner will have the ability to change ownership in the future.

  • The new 'Owner' may need to logout and log back into their account for the change to be affected.
